Bathroom Ideas – Contrasting Rich Grey and White Marble for a Stunning Effect
Bathroom Ideas: Rich Grey and White Marble
Our recent project showcases how to make your bathroom ideas come alive to create a spectacular space of comfort and style. This project offers lots of inspiration to help plan your own beautiful bathroom.
Specifications
Our client came to us wanting a complete redesign of their room. They wanted bathroom ideas for a stylish, yet functional master bathroom. Arranged in a way that would make it simple to use for two people simultaneously.
Creating a sizeable shower enclosure was the main priority, however the client also wanted to have a large bath they could really relax in. The clients style was very minimalist in the rest of their home, with a very neutral colour palette. Their house was however brought to life by use of accessories like scents, candles and art. Peter Langley the senior designer on this project, took their style and requirements and helped to bring their room and ideas to life.
The Design
Our designer saw incredible potential of the large, well lit room where the bathroom has been set. He immediately thought that marble is a fantastic option for this space.
Later on, using Versital bathroom surfaces, he suggested they use the contrast between rich Gloucester grey and white in order to highlight and divide the space. At Langley’s we use only the highest quality bathroom equipment from renowned bathroom brands and this bathroom was no different.
Creating the Prestige Feel
Peter decided to use a diamond shape bath from Villeroy and Boch as the centre piece of the room. Placed in the corner and fully built in with a light up step to its side, the bath really adds a touch of glamour to the room. To finish it off Peter used taps and shower head from the Raindance Collection by Hansgrohe.
Large Shower Enclosure
It was essential to the client that a large walk in shower enclosure was also featured in the new bathroom design. Created from white marble style wall panels in finish ‘Arabesque’ from Versital, and once again contrasted by ‘Gloucester’ rich grey for the corners and shelves. The dark grey shower tray used in the enclosure is custom made, again by Versital in the same matching finish.
The equipment and accessories used come from the same Hansgrohe collection used with the bath. While the sliding shower screens come from the renowned designer: Aqata. On the wall near the enclosure Peter conveniently placed a bisque radiator for the ease of drying off after a shower.
The Sink and Custom Cabinet
The theme of contrasting white marble and dark grey continued with the sink area, incorporating a large undermounted sink under the Gloucester vanity top. Lots of space has been included on this stylish vanity top for toiletries and accessories. Versital is an ideal choice for the vanity top as it is totally waterproof and stain proof.
A large bespoke fitted cabinet in real wood sycamore has also been included to offer plenty of storage.
Keuco Lit Cabinet
To complete the sink area a Keuco lit cabinet has been included, offering plenty of storage, built in lighting and even a razor point and magnifying mirror. Keuco offer a broad range of size and style options to suit all bathroom sizes.
At Langley interiors, every single bathroom we create is fully bespoke and handmade to your individual specifications and requirements. Our talented senior designer brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to each project, with an impressive 50 years experience designing and project managing furniture design and installation.
