Inside The Designers Home
Peter Langley has spent nearly 40 years designing fitted furniture and project managing home renovations for Langley Interiors clients. But have you ever wondered what his own home looks like? Here’s a peak inside.
Family Kitchen
“Family is very important to us, so we wanted to make the downstairs areas bright and airy, with lots of space for everyone to get together. The kitchen is very much a chef’s kitchen. “
Modern Yet Cosy Lounge
“This room is about impact – with metallic wall paper railroaded to create a feeling of space, striking sofa’s and some favourite pieces of art work. A black walnut media unit finishes the room with somewhere to add the TV and hide the DVD player.”
Master Bedroom, Ensuite and Dressing Room
“Now that the kids have all flown the nest, we could create the space we had always wanted – our own sanctuary! I adore real wood – the beautiful colours and patterns, so we chose inlayed veneers with a semi gloss for all the fitted furniture.
I designed a generous dressing table and drawers in the bedroom area itself. In the dressing room we have lots of custom fitted wardrobes. This then leads through to the en-suite with walk-in shower and steam room.
Built in storage under the sink in the same real wood completes the area perfectly.”
Fun Attic Bedroom
“We decided to turn the attic space into a bedroom for the grandchildren and visitors. The glass banister at the top of the stairs stops the room from feeling small and gives it a modern edge.”
Fitted furniture and bathrooms all designed and installed by Langley Interiors.
