Staycation : Creating your own sanctuary
If you’re going to stay at home (and lets face it, we’ve all been doing that A LOT more recently) then a beautiful hotel style bedroom and bathroom suite will help make it a place you WANT to be.
Make Your Staycation the Destination You Want To Be
Peter Langley our senior designer took inspiration from luxury hotels around the world. Our client wanted to create a space just for her – a sanctuary and retreat away from everyone else.
Making the bed the Feature
The bed will always be the main focus point for any bedroom, as the largest piece of furniture and main area of relaxation. Upholstery and soft furnishings are the perfect way to soften the bed and make it feel really cosy.
An upholstered headboard is a great way to feature add personality to a room.
Bespoke Bedside Chests
Storage is always an important consideration. This room includes lots of drawers for storage in a high gloss s soft sparkle champagne finish.
Once again, plenty of storage to keep beauty essentials packed away. Bespoke mirror complete with LED back light for flawless makeup application.
Tasteful Recessed TV
A wall recess offers a sleek space to display the wall mounted TV. Keeping wires and mess our of site.
Luxury Hotel Style Bathroom
Walk in Bathroom
In-keeping the modern feel, Peter and the client decided to opt for a fully open walk in feel. By getting rid of the door entirely, it keeps this space feeling very modern and open. The whole area is private, so walls within it aren’t necessary.
Double Designer Sink
What hotel style bathroom would be complete without a his and hers sink? We are massive fans of Geberit and love these beautiful sinks from the Veriform range. Very sleep, modern and a pleasure to use.
Walk in shower with seat and Steam cabinet
A generous walk in shower complete with seat offers the perfect place to relax. What staycation would be complete without a good steam?! The ideal place to pamper and unwind.
The bathroom has beautiful sleek lines with no grout for easy maintenance. Versital has been used throughout for the bespoke shower tray, panels tops and splashbacks. Their custom surfaces mean that there is no need for grout (a personal pet peeve of ours!).
Walk in Wardrobe
Peter recommended that the second bedroom be re-purposed into a walk-in wardrobe. It was already being used as clothing storage, so it made sense to create a proper walk in wardrobe.
The wall to the second bedroom was knocked through, leaving an opening straight through from the master bedroom – making one seriously special master suite!
